Individual counselingCounseling & ADHD Life Coaching in Ashland, Oregon
I work with adults, couples, children, teens, and families, bringing decades of experience with human development, relationships, and ADHD-focused support. My approach is curious, collaborative, practical, and grounded in the belief that people are more than the problems they are facing.

Where we can begin
People usually reach out because something in daily life or a relationship has become hard to keep carrying in the same way.
You feel stuck in a pattern you understand intellectually but can't seem to change.
Anxiety, depression, or the after-effects of something painful keep getting in the way of ordinary life.
You and your partner keep ending up in the same argument, or the same distance.
Your child or teen is struggling, and you want to understand what may be underneath the behavior.
ADHD is making planning, follow-through, emotions, school, work, or relationships harder.
Your family needs a different way of hearing and responding to one another.

How I work
I don’t begin with the assumption that something about you needs to be fixed. I pay attention to what is happening now: patterns, relationships, feelings, strengths, and the parts of an experience that are easy to dismiss. Often, when we understand a difficulty more fully, we can see choices that were not visible before.
My work has been shaped by decades with children, adults, couples and families, along with Process-Oriented Psychology, developmental perspectives, mindfulness, attachment-oriented ideas, and ADHD life coaching.
Meet Mary
Mary Giancarlo, MA, CALCCertified ADHD Life Coach
I’ve spent much of my life paying attention to what helps people feel more understood, by others and by themselves.
That work began with children. I started working with young people at 17, later taught preschool and Waldorf kindergarten, and spent 21 years as a Child Development Specialist. Over time, my work expanded to parents, adults, couples, families, and ADHD-focused coaching.

ADHD Life Coaching
ADHD can affect far more than attention. Planning, time, follow-through, organization, transitions, emotional regulation, relationships, school, and work can all become places of friction.
As a Certified ADHD Life Coach, I work collaboratively with adults, young people, couples, and parents to understand patterns, recognize strengths, and build strategies that fit real life.

Growth doesn’t always mean becoming someone different. Sometimes it begins with understanding more deeply what is already there.
